Ocean & Earth Jewellery

Hello! I'm Kathryn and I design and make handcrafted gemstone jewellery. My work is inspired by a sense of adventure for wanderlust and travelling, and influenced by my love for the ocean, moon and earth. I would describe the style of my pieces as beach bohemian.

Ocean & Earth is an eco-conscious brand and I have designed my packaging with the environment in mind, from the plastic-free stickers that I use, to the reusable cotton jewellery pouches!

I mainly work with sterling silver and gold fill materials, and semi precious gemstones. I source from small UK businesses including from the local Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Most of my jewellery involves some form of wire wrapping technique, and I love hand wrapping briolette (teardrop) gemstones!

I live and work in Birmingham, and started Ocean & Earth over the summer of 2020 during lockdown and haven't looked back! I love having a creative outlet and handcrafting beautiful pieces which hold meaning and are full of inspiration. I mainly create earrings and necklaces, and hope to branch out into making rings soon, once I start silversmithing!
